I can still do okay in school

I am working towards an ATA inComstruciton management right now at Edmonds CC. I thought I would share some information below about that. I took my AutoCAD 2008 class this fall, which more or less was a refresher course. I got a 4.0.

Construction Management

The Construction Management program at Edmonds Community College is accredited by the American Council for Construction Education. The program is one of eight similarly accredited associate degree programs in the United States.

We offer several courses of study designed to prepare students for professional careers in the construction industry.

Our curriculum focuses on business and project management, estimating, inspection, and construction related computer applications. The program is designed primarily for people who are presently employed or have previous experience in some phase of the construction industry. Since the program is geared to the needs of the working person, most Construction Program courses are offered in the evening.

Students may take one or two classes to supplement existing job skills or may pursue a more formal course of study.

We offer:

  • Construction Project Management Certificate
  • Building Inspection Certificate
  • Associate of Technical Arts Degree in Construction Management.
  • Individualized programs are available to students who plan to pursue baccalaureate and master degrees in Construction Management.

A little of everything

I may not be an expert in everything but I know a little about a lot. That is basically stating I am running a small business. Though most of my back ground is in construction and entertainment production. Managing projects from a-z, from design concept to production. It can be fund and certainly is a lot of work.

Fred Meyer

My daughter is a true girl.  I came home from getting my haircut to find Jen sewing some Diego PJ’s.  The legs were too long for Morgan.  Morgan hear use talking about them and she says excitedly ‘we got those from Fred Meyers’ as clear as day.  It is fun to hear those moments.

Content Management Choices

So here are a few I have found so far, in no particular order:

  • Joomla
  • Drupal
  • Mambo
  • Xoops
  • Moodle
  • Nucleus
  • Postnuke
  • Community Server (windows)
  • DotNetNuke (windows)

Which one works the best? That is a tough question. Hopefully soon I will be able to elaborate on some of them. For the most part they work great for managing websites with log-ins, forums, photos, etc. They all have there own set of uses and plug-in modules. So once I get to work on some of these, I will write some more updates.
